Description
This installation kit includes all the necessary hardware to mount an R200B differential in place and attach it to the driveshaft. Also included are adapters to attach a 6-bolt differential to stock U-joint axles. This is an installation kit only, a used R200B differential (SKU 1627, 1628, 1629, and 1630) and a shortened driveshaft (SKU 107) must be purchased separately.
Ordering Guide:
- Some R200B differentials have threaded holes in the axle flanges requiring short bolts and lock washers while others have non threaded holes requiring long bolts and nuts. From what I can determine, the 3.357:1 through 1/2010, all 3.538:1 and 3.692:1 through 2011 have non threaded holes and use LONG bolts. 3.357:1 after 1/2010 and 3.692:1 2012 and later have threaded holes and use SHORT bolts. Choose long or short bolts in the drop box.
- All R200, 3.357:1 and 3.538:1 R200B differentials have unthreaded holes in their output flanges and require LONG axle mounting bolts. Choose long bolts in the drop box.
- If you are unable to confirm which bolt holes your differential has or have not yet purchased a differential, order the long bolts. If your differential has threaded holes they can be drilled out to accommodate the long bolts.
This kit will NOT fit R200 differentials

NOTE: Installation of Good Parts rear Nylatron suspension bushing kit is strongly recommended when installing the R200 differential with U-joint type half shafts. The original type rubber bushings allow the trailing arm to shift sideways during hard cornering. This action, combined with binding of the axle splines during acceleration or deceleration has, on a few occasions, disengaged the internal snap ring holding the R200 axle stub into the differential. If the axle stub moves out far enough to disengage its splines, power cannot be transmitted to the wheels. This has not been known to occur on cars using the Nylatron bushings in the trailing arms. Springs are now supplied with the R200 installation kit to install between the axle half-shafts as an extra precaution.
